Petroleum Company of Jamaica (PETCOM)

Background

The Petroleum Company of Jamaica (PETCOM) was incorporated in 1973 to market a variety of petroleum products.  PETCOM is a subsidiary of the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ). Currently there are twenty-eight (28) Petcom stations island-wide and fourteen (14) Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) filling plants island-wide.

LPG is distributed through these filling plants and an extensive dealer network; and marketed to both domestic and industrial customers under the brand name, “Cookie Gas”.

Petcom sells lubricants under the brand name “Pace”.  Pace products are currently ranked among the best auto products on the Jamaican market.

Project Description

The Government of Jamaica has completed the divestment of the Petroleum Company of Jamaica Limited.

 Status

The PETCOM privatisation opportunity was successfully completed on June 30, 2016.
