The Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) invites applications from qualified persons for the position of:



The responsibility of the position is to review, plan, direct and coordinate the enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance functions of the organization.


        • Manage the company’s ERM programme including the monitoring and reporting of the key business risks and tolerance limits.
        • Create risk models and conduct technical risk analysis on the company’s credit, operational, market, strategic and other risks .
        • Manage the Compliance Policy to ensure that the company does not breach laws and regulations relating to its operations.


The required MINIMUM qualifications, experiences and attributes are:

  • MSc in Enterprise Risk Management, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Professional Certification in Enterprise Risk Management.
  • Understanding of key regulatory and legal requirements that impact the financial sector including AML and POCA regulations; and the GOJ’s Financial Administration & Audit Act.
  • Very strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Sound and diverse knowledge of computer systems relevant to risk assessment and MS suite of products.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; and to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • MUST be confidential and diplomatic.
  • Five (5) years managerial experience in Risk Management – preferably in the financial sector.
