Description and location | The Government of Jamaica has identified a Private investor to implement a 15 million gallons-per-day water treatment plant along the Rio Cobre to augment the water supply for the Kingston Metropolitan Area. The private investor will be required to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the plant under a 25-year concession. |
Status | The Government of Jamaica through NWC entered into a water purchase agreement with Rio Cobre Water Limited on November 29th 2022. |
