Available to students who are registered in Year 2 of the following residential four (4) year programmes:
1) BSc – AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION
OR
2) B. Tech. – FOOD SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT
THREE (3) YEARS**
– STARTING AT LEVEL 2
** Full-time students in years 3 and 4 are also eligible
$500,000 per annum or $1.5M per Student PLUS a LAPTOP & PRINTER To cover:
– TUITION
– BOOKS
– HOUSING
– INCIDENTALS
– SHIRTS & OVERALLS
The award will be based on:
– High academic achievement (a GPA of at least 3.0)
– The applicant being active members of their community
(VOLUNTEERISM)
– Verifiable Financial Need
a) Jamaican citizen
b) Proof of academic progress (transcript)
c) Completed Application Form (Form may be downloaded from
www.isims.case.edu.jm or collected at the Registry, OR the
Office of International Relations & Marketing [West Campus])
d) Submit a three hundred (300) word (standard 5-paragraph)
essay in which you:
– Identify your chosen field of study
– Detail how the scholarship will help you to attain your
academic goals
– Explain what makes you the most suitable candidate for
the award.
e) Two (2) written References.
f) Each reference must have known the applicant for at least
one (1) year and may be from any of the following categories:
– Army Officer (rank of major and above)
– Attorney-at-Law
– CASE Lecturer
– Medical Doctor
– Justice of the Peace
– Member of Parliament
– Minister of Religion
– Parish Councillor
– Police Office (gazetted ranks)
– School Principal
– Veterinarian
The recipient is expected to live and work in Jamaica for a minimum of two (2) years immediately after completing their studies and to contact CASE each year to verify this condition.
Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by a panel comprising representatives from CASE and the Donor.
