Description and location | The National Education Trust (NET) has identified a private sector provider to undertake the financing, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic generation systems in a pilot project of 30 select secondary schools. The project will be implemented under an Energy Service Company (ESCO) model with payment to the private sector being made from savings. |
Status | The signing of the Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) for the transaction was done on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 with the Energy Savings Company (ESCO). The ESCO is a Special Purpose Vehicle that has been established in Jamaica by Roswall Inc/Williams Evergreen/Brison Development for the execution of the project. The ESCO entered a fifteen (15) year ESPC with the Government of Jamaica, through the MOEY and NET. |
